Iron cross second class and provisional award document awarded on 8 June 1916 (dated 16 June 1918) for Gefreiter Konrad Holzweiler, who served with 4. Kompagnie, Landwehr-Infanterie-Regiment 28, which was part of the independent 29. gemischte Landwehr-Brigade. The award document is signed by Freiherr Hauptmann von Tettau.
Militärpass and document for the Hamburger Hanseaten-Kreuz awarded in December 1916 to Reservist Wilhelm Grewsmühl, who served with 2. Kompagnie Brigade-Ersatz-Bataillon Nr. 33, part of 33. gemischte Ersatz-Brigade, and later Infanterie-Regiment Nr. 362, 4. Ersatz-Division and 12. Kompagnie Infanterie-Regiment Graf Bose (1. Thüringisches) Nr. 31, part of 36. Infanterie-Brigade, 18. Infanterie-Division.
Machine-gun units
Iron cross second class and provisional award document (dated 6 April 1918) for Schütze Ewald Vollmerhaus of 1. Kompagnie, Maschinen-Gewehr-Scharfschützen-Abteilung 58, 26. (württembergische) Landwehr-Division. The division was involved in static fighting on the Western front in Upper Elsace from January 1917 until November 1918.
Iron cross second class provisional award document and Soldbuch of Sergeant Rudolf Osbahr, who served with 1. M.G.-Kompagnie Infanterie-Regiment 163, 81. Infanterie-Brigade, 17. Reserve-Division. The division spent the entire war on the Western front. Awarded the EK II in December 1916.
Handwritten Militärverdienstkreuz III. Klasse mit Schwertern (military merit cross third class with swords) award document for Unteroffizier Otto Renner dated 19 July 1920 for award on 9 September 1917. When he was awarded the medal, he was serving with 2. Kompagnie, bayerische Maschinen-Gewehr-Scharfschützen-Abteilung 1, which was part of 5. bayerische Infanterie-Division. The division spent the entire war on the Western front and was fighting in Flanders in September 1917.
