Awards and other identity documents

This is a draft list of some award document groups and miscellaneous identity documents that do not belong in the Militärpass, Wehrpass and Soldbuch sections. Although they do not contain much biographical information as such, they still offer much potential for research in the context of unit and campaign histories. Signatures of the awarding officers also offer many additional research possibilities. The collection includes groups and individual documents mainly of members of the ground forces of both world wars.

The documents are broadly organised by eras and arms of service into Imperial German and pre-1945 sub-sections.
